On February of 2009, the local dog shelter, in Springfield, Mass. Announces it will close it’s doors due to funding shortfall from the Mass chapter of the ASPCA. Locals adopt as many animals as possible, because their fate will otherwise soon be sealed. Locals are upset. Why don’t they close the shelter in Nantucket???
